Manny Pacquiao’s next fight is official and it will not be Floyd Mayweather Jr but Antonio Margarito slated for November 13 this year.
Aside from Mayweather, Cotto was also one of the top choices for Pacquiao but boxing Promoter Bob Arum said that Pacquiao’s first victory over Miguel Cotto was too one-sided to warrant a rematch.
The Pacquiao vs Margarito match will be held in Las Vegas if Margarito can get a Nevada license. If not, then it will be a home court advantage for him as it will be held in Monterrey, Mexico.
Margarito was suspended after foreign substances were found in his gloves prior to his loss to Shane Mosley in late January 2009.
